This site's great... and your reel looks sharp, Manoush!

5. Smartphones can be EXCELLENT tot distractors. Especially the iphone, because it's touch-screen capability is simple enough for a preschooler to use. There are a ton of great iphone apps out there for kids. "Peekaboo Barn", an app that plays animal noises, can keep my 2 year old occupied and content while waiting in the doctor's office, on the subway, or in line at the post office. (Great post, Manoush!)

Can we just pick up our gear and kids and work from a nice little island somewhere in the Mediterranean that only has a digital and not biological connection to the mainland?

Gotta say, Uptown/Downtown, having owned the iPhone for 6 weeks now, I'll do anything not to have to write a document on it. So maybe you're better off with the blackberry! A mommy-lawyer friend says she misses her Blackberry's keyboard desperately. I still haven't graduate to 2 finger typing either. Also, even with decent AT&T coverage, phone conversations are still pretty echo-y.

4. Blackberrying mommies get to write books and garner sponsorships: http://www.blackberrydiaries.net/
What's your favorite bb smartphone? I don't have one. I use an 8950 and that's only because AT&T service stinks in my neck of the neighborhood. I'd MUCH prefer an iPhone. Anyday. I tried one for a month and though it took a while to get the hang of the touch pad (as opposed to keys), I liked it - ok, you get the picture.
